Connecticut men's soccer tops Colby
WATERVILLE, MAINE --
Erich Archer (St. JohnÍs Prep/Beverly, Mass.) scored with 5:30 left in the game to break a 1-1 tie and send Connecticut College to a 3-1 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference menÍs soccer action Saturday.
P.J. Dee (New Canaan/New Canaan, Conn.) added an insurance goal with 2:28 remaining for the Camels (1-9-1). Devin Kanabay (E.O. Smith/Mansfield, Conn.) had the only goal of the first half to give Connecticut College a 1-0 lead at the break.
Colby (5-6) tied the game at 1-1 when senior Chris French (Winchester/Winchester, Mass.) scored off an assist from sophomore Brian Kelly (Milford/Milford, Mass.) with about 24 minutes remaining in the game.
The Mules will play host to St. JosephÍs in a non-league game Wednesday at 4 p.m.
