Men's cross country 9th out of 31 teams
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. --
Senior captain Justin Sukiennik (Taconic/Pittsfield, Mass.) finished in 26th place out of 239 finishers for the Colby College men's cross country team at the 30th Annual UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.
The Colby men finished in ninth place out of 31 schools with a score of 236. Coast Guard won the meet with a score of 62.
Sukiennik finished the 8,040-meter race in 26 minutes, 34.09 seconds. Junior Eric Reinauer (Granby/North Granby, Conn.) took 29th place in 26:36.88 and junior captain John Tyson (Amherst Regional/Amherst, Mass.) finished in 31st in 26:37.83. Sophomore Rich Downing (Saint John's/Stow, Mass.) came in 45th place in 27:00.63.
Trinity College's Ryan Bak won the event in 24:39.17.
