Williams field hockey beats Mules

WATERVILLE, MAINE --

Stefanie Noering (Cohasset, Mass.) assisted on two goals in leading the Williams College field hockey team to a 3-0 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Sunday.

Williams (7-1, 4-1 NESCAC) got its first goal 20 minutes into the game by senior Moonjoo Han (Clifton, N.J.) from Noering, who also had an assist on the second goal by sophomore Tara Boyd (New Canaan, Conn.) about 11 minutes into the second half.

Sophomore Sarah Meserve (Topsfield, Mass.) got the final goal with less than three minutes remaining.

Carrie Morin (Cony/Augusta, Maine) had 10 saves for Colby (5-3, 2-3 NESCAC), which plays Saturday at Amherst at 11 a.m.
