Men's basketball ends season with loss to Bowdoin
WATERVILLE, Maine --
The Bowdoin College men's basketball team clinched the eighth and final spot in the upcoming New England Small College Athletic Conference Tournament with an 86-61 victory over Colby College at Wadsworth Gymnasium on Saturday.
Bowdoin improved to 10-13 overall and 3-6 in the league. Colby ends its season at 6-16 and 2-7 in the conference.
Kyle Petrie (Iowa City, Iowa) had 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Polar Bears. T.J. McLeod (Gorham, Maine) pumped in 21 points, while Braden Clement (Skowhegan, Maine) finished with 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Danny Ginn (Windham, Maine) had 17 points.
Patrick McGowan (North Attleboro, Mass.) led the Mules with 15 points. Nick Ofiesh (Arlington, Va.) had nine points, while Andrew Jenkins (Gorham, Maine) finished with eight.
Bowdoin was 9-for-15 from 3-point range in the first half in opening up a 53-30 lead.
