Hamilton men's hockey surges past Mules

CLINTON, N.Y. --

Hamilton College took a 3-1 lead after the first period and then held Colby College scoreless the rest of the way in an 8-1 victory on Friday night.

Hamilton improved to 13-9-1 overall and 10-7-1 in the conference. The Mules fell to 16-5-1 and 13-4-1 in the league.

Sean O'Grady had the only goal of the game off an assist from Cory Ernst for Colby.

The Mules will finish the regular season at Amherst on Saturday at 3 p.m.
