Middlebury women's tennis defeats Colby
WATERVILLE, MAINE --
Sara Hughes (Burlington/South Burlington, Vt.) and Britt Palmedo (Deerfield/Ketchum, Idaho) each won their singles matches and won together at first doubles for the Colby College women's tennis team in a 6-3 loss Saturday to Middlebury College.
Hughes took a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles over Ariella Neville (Phoenix Country Day/Phoenix, Ariz.). Palmedo battled from behind for a 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3) win against Lauren Ready (Lexington/Lexington, Mass.) at second singles. Hughes and Palmedo then won 8-4 in first doubles for the Mules (3-4).
