Colby men's soccer falls to Middlebury
WATERVILLE, MAINE --
Kyle Dezotell (North Country/Newport, Vt.) scored late in the first half and Middlebury College added two second-half goals to take a 3-0 victory over Colby College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game on Saturday.
Dezotell scored with about four minutes left to halftime to give the Panthers (3-1-2, 2-0-1 NESCAC) some momentum heading into halftime. Jacob Whitted (Westside/Omaha, Neb.) and Matt Haddad (Avon Old Farms (Conn.)/Longmeadow, Mass.) had the other goals.
David Lindholm (Brooks School (Mass.)/Cornwall, Vt.) had one save for the Middlebury shutout. Colby (3-2, 1-2 NESCAC) goalkeeper Andrew Danzinger (Mercerburg Academy/Frederick, Md.) had three stops.
The Mules play at Southern Maine on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
