Wesleyan men's lacrosse beats Colby in overtime
WATERVILLE, Maine --
Glen Adams (Norwalk/Norwalk, Conn.) had two goals, two assists and had the game-winning goal in overtime to lift Wesleyan University to an 11-10 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's lacrosse Saturday.
Wesleyan clinched a home NESCAC Tournament game with the victory and improved to 10-4 overall and 6-3 in the league. Colby ended the season at 4-8 overall and 1-8 in the conference.
Colby forced overtime when Joshua Cleaver (Unionville/Kennett Square, Pa.) scored of an assist from Ryan Tyler (Holderness/Wolfeboro, N.H.) with just one second left in regulation.
Sam Fleischner (Tabor Academy/Providence, R.I.) added three goals and Jordan Funt (Ward Melville/Setauket, N.Y.) had two goals and one assist for the Cardinals.
Cleaver, Matt Roland (Somers/Somers, Conn.), Conor Cooper (Phillips Academy/Reading, Mass.), Trenholm Boggs (Potomac/Arlington, Va.) and Ben Winston (East/Golden, Colo.) all had two goals for Colby.
