Colby men's soccer blanks St. Joseph's
WATERVILLE, MAINE --
Senior midfielder Jamie Lue (Westminster School/Kingston, Jamaica) had two goals and one assist as the Colby College men's soccer team had a perfect 5-0 record in non-conference play this year with a 5-0 win Wednesday against St. Joseph's College.
The Mules (6-6) led 3-0 at halftime on goals by Lue, senior Zach Shull (Framingham/Framingham, Mass.) and the first collegiate goal from first-year player Monty Hankin. Sophomore midfielder Ryan Boccuzzi (E.O. Smith/Storrs, Conn.) had two assists in the first half and leads the Mules with six assists this season.
Senior captain Michael Jarcho (Hamilton/Hamilton, N.Y.) scored off a penalty kick about five minutes into the second half. Lue later tallied off a direct kick for the final Colby goal.
Brian Davidson (Loomis Chaffee/Needham, Mass.) made one save in the nets in the first half for Colby and Andrew Danzinger (Mercerburg Academy/Frederick, Md.) was not called upon for a stop in the second half.
Colby will play host to Bowdoin College at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
