Conn College men's tennis holds off Mules
NEW LONDON, Conn. --
Connecticut College won the top three singles matches in taking a 4-3 victory over Colby College in men's tennis Sunday.
Ben Crane improved to 16-4 this season with a come-from-behind victory at fifth singles. He lost 6-4 in the first set and then roared back for 7-5 and 6-0 wins in the final two sets. Crane also joined forces with Tim Stenovec for an 8-3 win at second doubles.
Stenovec, who is 6-0 in doubles play with Crane this season, took a 6-0, 6-4 victory at fourth singles to improve to 13-3 overall.
Rich Cook and John Fallon got together at third doubles for an 8-6 victory.
Colby competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Tournament this Friday to Sunday at Middlebury College.
