Colby-Sawyer men top Colby College

NEW LONDON, N.H. --

Ethan Betts went over 1,000 career points and led all scorers with 17 points as Colby-Sawyer College took a 74-53 non-league win over Colby College in men's basketball Thursday.

Colby (1-3) led 20-17 with just under 10 minutes to play in the half, but the Chargers went on a 19-0 run to take charge and build a 42-24 halftime lead.

Kevin Crosman (Morse/Bath, Maine) had 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals to lead the Mules. Michael Westbrooks (Berkshire/Dublin, Ireland) added 13 points and eight rebounds.

Nick Loukes (Bangor/Glenburn, Maine) had six points and four assists for Colby, while Nick Ofeish (Yorktown/Arlington, Va.) added seven points.

Colby does not play again until Thursday, January 2, against Cal-State Monterey in the Cal-State Monterey Bay Classic.
