Colby golf third at UMF Invitational
FARMINGTON, MAINE --
First-year golfer Stephen Planas (Rockland District/Rockland, Maine) had a 75 for the Colby College golf team at the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational on Wednesday at Belgrade Lakes.
The Mules finished in third place out of nine teams with a 319 score. Husson won the event with a 291.
Senior captain Jake Hobart (Poway/Poway, Calif.) had a 78 and Dave Salmon (Noble & Greenough/Sherborn, Mass.) carded an 81.
Colby will be at the CBB Tournament hosted by Bates College on Saturday. The Mules then host the Colby Classic on Sunday at 12 p.m. at the Waterville Country Club.
