Women's soccer loses to Panthers
WATERVILLE, MAINE --
Meg Bonney (Burke Mountain/Norwich, Vt.) had two goals in the first half to help the Middlebury College womenÍs soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play on Saturday.
Colby (2-3, 0-3 NESCAC) scored 10 minutes into the first half when Lauren Gremelspacher (Loomis Chaffee/Granby, Conn.) hit a shot from the left side that went into the right corner of the net. Christine OÍDonnell (Salem/Salem, Mass.) led Gremelspacher with the pass.
Bonney scored two goals in the last 15:02 of the first half to give the Panthers (3-1-1, 2-0-1) the lead for good. Britt Kittelsen (Breck School/Minneapolis, Minn.) had a goal and an assist.
Colby will play at Southern Maine on Thursday at 4 p.m.
