Bowdoin women's tennis holds off Mules, 5-4
BRUNSWICK, Maine --
Sara Hughes is approaching 30 wins this season after earning singles and doubles victories for the Colby College women's tennis team in a tough 5-4 loss at Bowdoin College on Wednesday.
Hughes took a win at first singles and joined forces with Britt Palmedo to win at first doubles. Hughes has a 27-11 record this season, including a 16-5 record in doubles play.
Palmedo also won her match at second singles for Colby (7-7). The Mules got their other win from Caren Harris and Christina Pluta at second doubles.
Colby is host to College of New Jersey this Tuesday at 3 p.m.
