Colby baseball splits with Middlebury
CLEARWATER, Fla. -
Tyler Hales (Lexington, Mass.) worked five innings and Tom Salemy (Odessa, Fla.) added two hits to lift the Colby College baseball team to a 7-3 win over Middlebury College in the opening game of a doubleheader Tuesday in Florida.
Middlebury bounced back for a 10-4 win in the nightcap.
The Mules (2-4) led 7-0 after four innings and held on for the victory in the opener. B.L. Lippert (Augusta, Maine) doubled for Colby.
Roddy Ames (Cotuit, Mass.) had three hits for Colby in the second game. Brian Liberty (Hollis, N.H.) added a pair of hits.
