Baseball teams sweeps two from Hamilton
WORCESTER, Mass. -
Roddy Ames (Cotuit, Mass.) went 5-for-9, including three home runs, to lead the Colby College baseball team to a doubleheader sweep of Hamilton College at Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday.
Ames ripped two homers, had a double and six RBI in the Mules' 12-3 win in the opening game. He added another home run among his two hits as Colby won 14-8 in the nightcap.
Tyler Hales (Lexington, Mass.) added a pair of doubles and Tom Salemy (Odessa, Fla.) had a double in his two hits for Colby in the opener. Jordan Henry pitched the first five innings for the Colby win.
Vincent Domestico (Ashland, Mass.) had three hits and five RBIS, while Salemy homered and added two RBI in the second game. Andy Carr (Conway, N.H.) had three hits and two RBI, Tyler Hales and Eric Roy also had two hits.
