Colby cross country teams both 5th at Twin Brook

CUMBERLAND, Maine ----- Colby College women's cross country runner Karina Johnson (Tolland, Conn.) finished in eighth place out of 134 finishers at the Twin Brook Cross Country Invitational at Twin Brook Recreation on Saturday. Johnson had a time of 23 minutes, 26 seconds over the 6-kilometer course. Jess Minty (Concord, Mass.) took 20th in 24:08. Both the Colby women and men's teams took fifth place in a strong field.

Nat Brown took 13th for the Colby men in 27:16 and Jeff Alden (Caribou, Maine) was 21st in 27:36 over 8 kilometers.
