Colby College (5-13, 1-3) picked up a 69-40 victory over Connecticut College (5-11, 0-4) in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
Nick Farrell (Kennebunk, Maine) poured in a game-high 19 points for the Mules. Sophomore Andrew Jenkins (Gorham, Maine) finished with 10 points and eight boards for Colby.
Colby built an 11-point lead on the perimeter prowess of Farrell. The freshman guard canned 3-of-6 three-point attempts in the game including one with 1:09 remaining to give the Mules a 35-24 lead. Danny Melzer (Stamford, CT) knocked down a three for the Camels with 42 seconds left to make it an eight-point contest. But Andrew Jenkins connected on a triple at the horn and the visitors led 38-27 at the break.
In the second half, Colby took control, out-scoring the Camels 31-to-13 over the final 20 minutes.
