Colby men's lacrosse beats Babson for 3-0 week

BABSON PARK, Mass. --

The Colby College men's lacrosse team capped off a 3-0 week with a 9-4 non-conference victory over Babson College on Saturday.

The Mules (3-1) took victories over Williams College and Union College earlier in the week.

Josh Cleaver (Kennett Square, Pa.) had three goals to lead Colby in the victory over Babson. Cleaver had eight goals and two assists in the 3-0 week and has 11 goals and three assists in Colby's opening four games.

First-year attacker Jeff Margulies (Weston, Mass.) scored his first two collegiate goals for Colby. Eric Seidel (Durham, N.H.) added one goal and one assist, while Ryan Glennon (Exeter, N.H.), Rory Murphy (Brunswick, Maine) and Matt Roland (Somers, Conn.) each had one goal.

Matt LaPaglia (Upper Montclair, N.J.) had eight of his 14 saves in the first half when the Mules opened up a 2-0 lead. Colby had the only three goals of the third quarter for a 5-0 lead heading into the final period.
