Roy named to NESCAC baseball all-conference team

WATERVILLE, Maine --

Colby College's Eric Roy (Lisbon/Lisbon Falls, Maine) was named to the second team of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference squad for baseball Monday.

Roy batted .327 this past season while starting nearly every game at catcher. He was named to the NESCAC first team last year after batting .380 and committing no errors. Roy had just five errors in the last two years and had one of the top throwing arms at the catcher position in the conference.

Roy recently earned the Ellsworth "Bill" Millett Award at the Colby Seniors Awards event. The award was for contributing the most to athletics at Colby during their four years.
