Colby men's squash defeats St. Lawrence; women fall/font>
BRUNSWICK, Maine --
Ryan Phelan (Wallingford, Conn.) and Trevor McWilliams (Millbrook, N.Y.) won at the top two positions to lead the Colby College men's squash team to a 7-2 victory over 26th-ranked St. Lawrence University at Bowdoin College on Sunday.
Phelan led 20th-ranked Colby with a victory at the first spot after also winning matches against Hamilton College and Connecticut College in Saturday's play. Todd Basnight (Newton, Mass.) won at the third spot and Amit Gaind (Lynnfield, Mass.) took a win at four.
Colby also received wins from Mark Biggar (Cleveland, Ohio), Andy Carr (Conway, N.H.) and Nate Stone (Bow, N.H.). Carr and Stone each won tight 3-2 matches.
The 13th-ranked Colby women's squash team lost 5-4 to 14th-ranked St. Lawrence after the Saints won the first four positions. The Mules (9-8) received wins from Jennifer Barrett (Marion, Mass.), Rachel Luskin (Scarsdale, N.Y.), Allison Dunn (Tucson, Ariz.) and Ginny Raho (Providence, R.I.).
The Colby men's team will play host to Bowdoin College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
