Colby volleyball has 2-1 NESCAC Weekend
LEWISTON, Maine --
The Colby College volleyball team lost for the first time in New England Small College Athletic Conference play, but the Mules still pulled out two victories as well during conference play at Bates College on Friday and Saturday.
The Mules took a 3-1 victory over Middlebury and fell 3-0 to Williams in Saturday's matches. Colby (16-5, 4-1) also took a 30-17, 30-23, 30-26 win against Hamilton on Friday night.
Cait Cleaver (Kennett Square, Pa.) had 15 kills and three blocks as Colby won 30-18, 30-21, 30-26 over Middlebury. Kimberly Prescott (Buena Park, Calif.) added 38 assists and nine digs, Julie Hike (Falmouth, Mass.) added nine kills and three aces, Jennifer Radcliffe (Eugene, Ore.) had 16 digs, Alyssa Henley (Spokane, Wash.) finished with eight kills and Mariah Daly (Baltimore, Md.) had seven kills.
The Mules fell 30-28, 30-26, 30-21 to Williams for their first league loss. Prescott had 34 assists, Henley had 12 kills and Radcliffe finishes with 17 digs.
In Friday's match against Hamilton, Prescott finished with 24 assists and four service aces. Cleaver had 10 kills and nine digs, Radcliffe added 12 digs and Kaitlin Adams had four kills and four service aces.
