Colby earns road win over UNE

BIDDEFORD, Maine --

Colby rolled to a 30-6 first-game win on their way to a sweep of the University of New England in non-conference volleyball action Wednesday evening at the Campus Center.

The Nor'easters recovered from their first game, but Colby's front line proved too dominant in games two and three as the visitors claimed 30-26 and 30-20 victories.

Sophomore Cait Cleaver (Kennett Square, Pa.) powered the White Mules' high-powered offensive attack with 10 kills. Senior Alyssa Henley (Spokane Wash.) and sophomore Megan Devlin (Branford, Conn.) added seven kills apiece. Senior setter Kim Prescott (Buena Park, Calif.) fueled the attack with 27 assists, to go with three service aces.

The Mules (2-0) return to action on Friday when they host their own invitational tournament at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
