John Abbott beats Colby in exhibition game
WATERVILLE, Maine --
Vanessa Davidson had a goal and an assist to lift John Abbott College to a 5-3 exhibition game victory over the Colby College women's hockey team Monday night at Alfond Arena.
John Abbott College (19-12-1) opened up a 4-0 lead until the Mules struck for two goals in the second period. Kate Sweeney (Milton, Mass.) and Kristin Putnam (Oakland, Maine) both tallied in the period for Colby.
Sarah Boyes added an insurance goal for the Islanders with about six minutes left in the game. Heather DeVito (Arlington, Mass.) closed out the scoring for Colby with about three minutes to go. Caitlin Hickey (Waltham, Mass.) added two assists for the Mules.
