Monks take win over Colby in baseball

STANDISH, MAINE ­ Senior captain Andy Exley’s (Portland, ME) three-run two-out homer in the seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie and gave St. Joe’s a 6-3 win over visiting Colby College in non-conference baseball.

After Colby scored twice in the top of the first, St. Joe’s tied the score in the bottom half of the inning.

Colby took a 3-2 lead in the second inning as Nick Spillane (Darian, CT) singled to score Robert Rosenbaum (Washington, DC).

Spillane, Brian Liberty, Tyler Hales and Steve Sandak all had two hits for the Mules.
