Thomas takes win over Mules in baseball

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Thomas College broke up on a tight game with four runs in the seventh and eighth innings to pull away for an 8-3 win over Colby College in non-conference baseball Tuesday.

Colby led 1-0 after two innings, but Thomas scored four times in the third inning to take the lead for good. The Mules managed to cut the lead to 4-3 with a pair of runs in the fifth inning.

Greg Ortiz, Tyler Hales and Brian Liberty all had two hits for Colby. Hales and Ortiz both had doubles as did Nick Spillane.
