Colby crews race at Head of the Charles
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. ---
Colby College's crews each participated in the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday.
The Colby women's crew went off in the Championship 8 race for the second straight year against Division I boats and the U.S. Rowing crew. Colby placed 37th out of 42 boats with a time of 13 minutes, 33.059 seconds. ASR Nereus won the race in 12:06.663, Princeton was second, Yale took third, and the U.S. boat placed fourth.
The Colby men placed 23rd out of 45 crews in the Collegiate 8 race. The Mules had a time of 12:10.295 and were third among NESCAC schools in the race. Trinity College won the competition in 11:29.384.
In men's Championship 4 racing, Colby took 24th place out of 25 crews with a 13:52.944. U.S. Rowing placed first in 12:12.430 and Harvard was a close second in 12:12.663.
The Mules finish up the fall portion of their schedule with the CBB Head Race with Bates and Bowdoin this Saturday at Brunswick.
