Colby varsity crews each place third

WORCESTER, Mass. --- Colby College's varsity eight crews each placed third in racing on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday.

The Colby men took third out of four boats in 6 minutes, 13.06 seconds and finished behind Holy Cross (6:07.3) and Ithaca (6:12.43).

The Colby women also finished in third behind Ithaca (7:02.24) and Holy Cross (7:06.15) with a time of 7:07.17.

In second boat varsity racing, the Colby men were second in 6:26.49 behind winner Holy Cross (6:18.58). The Colby women were third in 7:20.53 and were behind Ithaca and Holy Cross.

In novice eight racing, the Colby women easily won with a time of 7:14.1 over three other boats. The Colby men placed fifth in the novice eight race.
