Hagamen earns women's crew All-America honor
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College women's crew member Leah Hagamen (Deerfield, Mass.) was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Division III All-America team.
Hagamen, who graduated from Colby in May, was one of nine women selected to the first team. She also earned All-America first-team honors after her sophomore season.
Hagamen helped the Colby College women's crew finish in sixth place at the NCAA Division III Rowing Championships in May at the California State University Aquatic Center.
Colby participated in the NCAA meet in three of Hagamen's four years. The Mules finished in second place to Williams College in 2002 and then won the national title in 2003. Colby did not qualify for last year's NCAA meet.
Strength of schedule, regular season record, end of season regatta results, 2,000 meter erg score, nomination rank and comments from Colby head coach Stew Stokes helped Hagamen get her All-America honor.
