COLBY MEN'S BASKETBALL HOLDS OFF BOWDOIN, 75-71

WATERVILLE, Maine ---Andrew Jenkins (Gorham, Maine) had 20 points,

including 13 in the opening half, to help the Colby College men's

basketball team take a 75-71 win over Bowdoin College in New England Small

College Athletic Conference play Saturday at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Michael Westbrooks (Dublin, Ireland) added 14 points and six rebounds,

while Drew Cohen (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) had 14 points on 5-for-9

shooting. Patrick McGowan (North Attleboro, Mass.) had 12 points and four

assists and Nick Farrell (Kennebunk, Maine) had six assists.

Kyle Petrie (Iowa City, Iowa) finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds for

Bowdoin (7-7, 0-3 NESCAC). Andrew Hippert (Spencer, Mass.) had 13 points

and six assists, while Mark Yakavonis (Barrington, R.I.) had 10 points and

10 rebounds.

Colby (10-4, 1-2) led 39-34 at halftime.
