Colby men's basketball falls in Maine Event title game

BANGOR, Maine --- Tyler Muzzy had 26 points and nine rebounds in leading Husson College to a 72-65 victory over the Colby College men's basketball team in the title game of the Maine Event on Monday.

Husson (4-5) opened up a 33-23 halftime lead on the way to the victory. Colby fell to 8-2 heading into Saturday's home game against Bates College at 3 p.m.

Buddy Leavitt added 12 points and seven rebounds for Husson.

Drew Cohen, who made the all-tournament team, led Colby with 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots. Nate Dick came off the bench with 11 points for the Mules. Patrick McGowan, who also was on the all-tourney team, added 10 points and six rebounds. Michael Westbrooks had eight points, while Andrew Jenkins scored seven.
