McGowan named to NESCAC all-conference team

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior captain Patrick McGowan (North Attleboro/North Attleboro, Mass.) was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Team on Thursday.

McGowan, who helped Colby to a 14-8 record and a berth in the NESCAC playoffs, was named to the all-conference second team.

In the latest NESCAC statistics, McGowan ranked seventh in scoring (16.3), second in steals per game (2.41), seventh in 3-point shooting (.413) and 10th in assists per game (3.0). He led Colby in scoring and steals, was second on the team in field goal percentage (.485) and assists, and pulled down 4.6 rebounds per game. McGowan also shot 84 percent from the foul line (37-for-44).

McGowan finished his career ranked 14th all-time in scoring at Colby with 1,172 points. He got his 1,000th point in a home win over Bates College on January 8.
