COLBY MEN'S HOCKEY EARNS WIN OVER WESLEYAN

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Senior captain Patrick Walsh (Easton, Conn.) had one goal and two assists in helping the Colby College men's hockey team to an 8-3 victory over Wesleyan University on Saturday at Alfond Arena. The Mules (11-4-1, 9-4 league) led 2-0 after the first period and 5-1 after two.

Jason Weigel (Madison, Wisc.) and Todd O'Hara (Minneapolis, Minn.) had the goals in the opening period for Colby. Barry Brown (Souris, PEI), Joe Rothwell (Unionville, Ontario), Cory Ernst (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), Patrick Slipp (Woodstock, New Brunswick) and Josh Reber (Edina, Minn.) had the other goals for Colby.

Ben Grandjean (Waterford, Conn.) stopped 15 shots for Colby, while Steve Binswanger (Blue Bell, Pa.) made 37 saves for Wesleyan (3-14, 3-9). Mike Dorsey (Weymouth, Mass.), Sean Gallagher (Chaska, Minn.) and Brenton Stafford (North Kingstown, R.I.) had goals for the Cardinals.
