COLBY MEN'S HOCKEY TOPS SALEM STATE, 5-1
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior captain Patrick Walsh (Easton,
Conn.) made his final regular season game at Alfond Arena a memorable one
with three goals to lift the Mules to a 5-1 victory over Salem State on
Saturday.
Walsh, an All-East and All-NESCAC defensemen last year, had two goals in
the first period to help the Mules (14-6-1, 12-5 ECAC East/NESCAC) to a 3-0
lead.
Colby's five goals all came from seniors in their final regular season
games. Jared Gordon (Bangor, Maine) tallied in the first period and Joel
Morash (Liverpool, Nova Scotia) had a goal in the third period. Joe
Rothwell (Unionville, Ontario) had assists on all three of Walsh's goals.
Nick Bayley (Cambridge, Ontario) moved into a tie for third place on
Colby's all-time scoring list with one assist Saturday. Bayley and Vin
