Colby men's lacrosse earns win over Southern Maine
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Ryan Scott (Columbia, N.J.) had three goals and one assist in lifting the Colby College men's lacrosse team to a 17-10 victory over University of Southern Maine in non-conference play Tuesday at Bill Alfond Field.
Troy Lieberman (Andover, Mass.) added two goals and one assist and Tim Brown (Manchester, Mass.) had one goal and two assists. Adam Kirk (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), Dan Schupack (Cheshire, Conn.) and Tucker Kelton (Yarmouth, Maine) all had one goal and one assist for the Mules (3-10). Peter Ippolito (Concord, Mass.) finished with a pair of goals.
After battling to a 3-3 tie after one quarter, Colby went ahead 8-5 at halftime. The Mules then put the game away by scoring seven unanswered goals in the third quarter.
Travis Witham (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) had two goals and two assists for Southern Maine (3-8). Brian White (Gorham, Maine) finished with three goals.
