Colby men's soccer unbeaten streak reaches five games
WATERVILLE, Maine --- The combination of Daniel Kiernan (Roxbury Latin/Brookline, Mass.) and Bobby Abendroth (BB&N/Natick, Mass.) helped the Colby College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over University of Maine at Farmington in non-conference play Thursday.
Kiernan and Abendroth each scored goals for Colby and assisted on each other's scores. The win pushed Colby's unbeaten streak to five games and its overall record to 3-2-2. UMF fell to 6-4.

Kiernan, who leads Colby with three goals and three assists for nine points this season, got the eventual game-winning goal in the 47th minute.
The Mules had to hold a one-goal lead for about 33 minutes after Nate Ghelli (Lancaster, N.H.) scored in the 56th minute for UMF off a pass from Rob Cloutier (Manchester, Maine).
Brian Davidson (Loomis Chaffee/Needham, Mass.) stopped four shots for Colby, which plays host to Wesleyan at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
