Colby men's soccer earns team academic award
WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College men's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Team Academic Award for the fourth straight year.
The Mules were one of only two New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) schools to earn the award for the 2003-04 academic year. Colby, coached by Mark Serdjenian, had a 3.19 team grade point average. Bates was the only other NESCAC school to earn the award with a 3.16.
Of the 363 soccer teams honored, 73 squads were men's teams and women had 290 teams honored with the award. A team had to have a grade point average of 3.0 or better to earn the award.
