Bates hands Colby women loss in basketball

LEWISTON, Maine --- The Bates College womenâs basketball team, ranked No. 13 in the country, improved to 11-0 Thursday night with a 72-48 win over Colby College at Alumni Gymnasium.

Heather Taylor â05 (Nobleboro, Maine) scored a game-high 16 points for Bates. Meg Coffin â07 (Westford, Mass.) finished with 14 and eight rebounds, while Betsy Hochadel â05 (Portland, Maine) scored 11 with seven boards. Olivia Zurek â05 (Arlington, Mass.) finished with 10 points, nine rebounds and six steals.

Tanya Rosbash â08 (Newton, Mass.) and Regina Wohl â08 (Westbrook, Maine) both scored 11 points for the Mules. Wendy Bonner â05 (Lexington, Mass.) finished with 10 points and eight boards.
