Maine Maritime uses big first half to beat Colby

CASTINE, Maine --- Despite scoring 55 points in the second half, the Colby College women's basketball team fell 82-76 to Maine Maritime Academy in non-conference play Monday.

Maine Martime took a 41-21 lead at halftime and then held on in the second half.

Laura Williamson had 17 points and five assists for Colby (2-2). Wendy Bonner had 14 points and four steals, Kathleen Nicholson added 13 points, and Tanya Rosbash had 10 points and three assists.

Colby plays host to Rivier College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
