Colby takes non-league win over Rivier

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Katie McCabe (Watertown, Conn.) and Wendy Bonner (Lexington, Mass.) each had 14 points and seven rebounds in leading Colby College to an easy 77-40 win against Rivier College in non-conference women's basketball Wednesday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Laura Williamson (Manchester, Conn.) had a team-high 16 points for the Mules (3-2). Jackie Grady (Wilmington, Mass.) added eight points, while Tanya Rosbash (Newton, Mass.) had six points and seven assists. Molly Rice (South Portland, Maine) finished with seven points and Megan Davis (Hopkinton, Mass.) had seven rebounds.

Colby led 42-18 at halftime and forced 45 Rivier (1-4) turnovers. Elise Begnoche (Millville, Mass.) led Rivier with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Colby will play host to Emmanuel College at 2 p.m. Saturday.
