WILLIAMS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HANDS COLBY LEAGUE LOSS

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Maggie Miller (Wellesley, Mass.) had 22 points and 12 rebounds in lifting Williams College to a 67-52 win over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Friday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Colleen Hession (Northampton, Mass.) had a game-high 23 points for Williams (18-5, 7-1 NESCAC). Meghan O'Malley (Topsfield, Mass.) added 10 points and six rebounds, while Meghan Stetson (Oneonta, N.Y.) had seven points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Williams led 38-26 at halftime, but Colby (6-16, 1-7) did manage to cut the lead to 40-38 about five minutes into the second half. The Ephs went on a 7-0 run after that to take control.

Katie McCabe (Watertown, Conn.) had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Mules. Wendy Bonner (Lexington, Mass.) added 13 points and 10 boards, while Molly Rice (South Portland, Maine) had eight points and four rebounds.
