MIDDLEBURY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES WIN OVER COLBY

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Micaela McVary (Springfield, Ill.) finished with 17 points and Maryanne Verzosa (Jamaica, N.Y.) had 14 points to lead the Middlebury College women's basketball team to a 66-59 win over Colby College on Saturday at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Kate Fisher (Oakland, Calif.) added 13 points and four assists for the Panthers (11-13, 4-5 NESCAC).

Middlebury led 29-25 at halftime. The Panthers went 15-for-23 from the foul line in the second half to help seal the victory.

Colby senior captain Wendy Bonner (Lexington, Mass.) had 21 points on 10-for-15 shooting, 14 rebounds and four assists. Katie McCabe (Watertown, Conn.) also had a double-double in points and rebounding with 12 points and 14 boards. Regina Wohl (Westbrook, Maine) added 13 points and three assists for the Mules (6-17, 1-8).
