THOMAS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES WIN OVER COLBY
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Amanda Godley (East Grand/Brookton, Maine) went
6-for-11 from 3-point range, had 24 points, eight rebounds and three steals
in leading Thomas College to a 68-61 win over Colby College in
non-conference women's basketball Tuesday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
Tammy Fowler (Spaulding/Rochester, N.H.) had 15 points and seven rebounds
for Thomas (12-11). Kim Drosdik (Mt. Blue/Farmington, Maine) added 13
points, while Karen Demers (Sanford/Sanford, Maine) finished with 11 points
and four assists.
Thomas shot 41 percent from 3-point range, including an 8-for-16 effort in
the opening half in taking a 42-27 lead at the break.
Wendy Bonner (Lexington/Lexington, Mass.) had 17 points, 13 rebounds, three
assists and three steals for Colby. Bonner, playing in her final game at
Colby, finished with 1,074 points and 804 career rebounds.
Katie Harris (Somerville/Somerville, Mass.) had a collegiate high 14 points
and was 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Katie McCabe (Taft School/Watertown,
Conn.) added 13 points and six boards for the Mules (6-18).
