Colby, Amherst play to 0-0 tie in women's hockey
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College goalie Genevieve Triganne (Westminster/Pointe-Claire, Quebec) and Amherst College goaltender Lindsay Grabowski (Stuart Country Day/Princeton, N.J.) each earned shutouts as the Mules and the Lord Jeffs played to a 0-0 tie in women's hockey Friday night at Alfond Arena.
Triganne made nine of her 22 saves in the third period to keep the game scoreless. Grabowski had 16 stops, including a kick save of a hard blast by Colby forward Heather DeVito (Arlington/Arlington, Mass.) with just five seconds left in overtime.
Colby (3-6-2 overall, 2-4-2 league) plays host to Connecticut College on Saturday at 3 p.m. Amherst (3-5-5, 3-4-3) plays at seventh-ranked Bowdoin at 3 p.m. Saturday.
