COLBY WOMEN'S HOCKEY DEFEATS CONNECTICUT COLLEGE
WATERVILLE, Maine ---Mallory Young's (Hanover, N.H.) goal in the second
period proved to be the difference as the Colby College women's hockey team
took a 3-1 victory over Connecticut College on Saturday at Alfond Arena.
Colby (4-6-2, 3-4-2) scored at 6:20 of the first period on a goal by
Jennifer McAleer (Dublin, N.H.) for the only score of the period.
Young scored five minutes into the second period off an assist from Heather
DeVito (Arlington, Mass.), who also had an assist on the first goal.
The Mules made it 3-0 just 1:59 into the third period when Lindsay Tedeschi
(Elkins, N.H.) tallied.
Connecticut College (4-12, 2-7) got a goal from Mallory Littman (Richboro,
Pa.) with 2:30 left in the game to break the shutout.
Genevieve Triganne (Point-Claire, Quebec) had 26 saves for Colby, while
Gabby Petrill (Greensburg, Pa.) made 27 stops for the Camels.
