COLBY WOMEN'S HOCKEY TIES AMHERST, 2-2
AMHERST, Mass. --- Lauren Goethals (Needham, Mass.) had one goal and one
assist as the Colby College women's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie with
Amherst College at Orr Rink on Saturday.
Genevieve Triganne (Pointe-Claire, Quebec), who had a shutout of
Connecticut College on Friday night, made 28 saves for Colby (3-3-1). She
had six saves in the overtime session.
Heather DeVito (Arlington, Mass.) scored her 46th career goal for the
Mules. She has 46 goals and 35 assists for 81 career points.
Amherst (2-4-3) took a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the game off a goal by
Tes Siarnacki. The Mules settled down and tied the game in the second
period when Goethals tallied at 3:23.
DeVito put the Mules ahead at 3:43 of the third period, but Amherst tied
the game on a goal by Rachel Simon at 13:37.
