Bowdoin women's hockey tops Colby
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Kristen Cameron (Charlottetown, PEI) had two goals and three assists to pace seventh-ranked Bowdoin College to a 6-2 victory over Colby College in women's hockey Tuesday night at Alfond Arena.
Colby (5-7-2) took a 2-1 lead in the opening period on a goal by Jennifer McAleer (Dublin, N.H.) at 9:46. The Mules took a 1-0 lead on a score by Heather DeVito (Arlington, Mass.) and Bowdoin tied it on a goal by Meghan Gillis (Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia).
The Polar Bears tied the game once again with just 46 seconds left in the first period on a goal by Katie Coyne (Madison, Wisc.). Bowdoin then got the eventual game-winning goal at 3:10 of the second period off the stick of Cameron.
Cat MacEachern (Berwick, Nova Scotia) made 18 saves for Bowdoin (15-3-1), while Genevieve Triganne (Pointe-Claire, Quebec) stopped 30 shots for Colby.
