COLBY, HAMILTON PLAY TO 2-2 TIE
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Heather DeVito (Arlington, Mass.) scored the game-tying goal and Genevieve Triganne (Pointe-Claire, Quebec) stopped 31 shots as the Colby College women's hockey team fought back for a 2-2 tie with Hamilton College on Friday night at Alfond Arena.
DeVito scored at 10:14 of the third period for her 52nd career goal with the Mules (5-7-3, 3-5-3).
Hamilton (5-10-2, 5-6-2) went ahead 2-1 just 2:55 into the third period on a goal by Kerry Leonard (Stamford, Conn.).
After a scoreless first period, Kit Hickey (Waltham, Mass.) scored at 6:06 of the second period for Colby. However, Hamilton tied it up on a shorthanded goal by Tierney Boisvert (East Windsor, Conn.) with 3:40 left in the period.
Colby and Hamilton will play again Saturday at 3 p.m. at Alfond Arena.
