Colby women's soccer tops Wesleyan, 4-0
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Laura Williamson (Kingswood Oxford/Manchester, Conn.)
and Kaitlin Herlihy (Simsbury/Simsbury, Conn.) both scored two goals in
leading the Colby College women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory against
Wesleyan University in New England Small College Athletic Conference play
Saturday.
Williamson had the lone goal of the opening half off a pass from Katie
McCabe (Taft School/Watertown, Conn.)
Williamson added her eighth goal of the season about 15 minutes into the
second half off an assist from Liz Morbeck (Lakeside School/Seattle,
Wash.). Herlihy had two unassisted goals in the final 12 minutes of play.
Elizabeth Riley (Thornton Academy/Saco, Maine) and Liza Benson (Lawrence
Academy/Orchid, Fla.) combined for three saves in the shutout.
