Women's squash has 5-1 weekend

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. Emilie Slack (Villanova, Pa.) went 5-0 at the second position for the 17th-ranked Colby College women's squash team in wins over Wellesley, Smith, Middlebury, Vassar and a loss to Amherst on Saturday and Sunday.

The Mules easily beat Wellesley (8-1), Smith (7-2), Middlebury (7-2), Vassar (7-2), but fell 6-3 to Amherst.

Slack came back from two games down to beat Amherst's Caroline Shannon and also won a five-game match against Middlebury. Slack also had three-game wins in the other matches to post a 5-0 record. Nina Delano (Greenwich, Conn.) and Rachel Luskin (Scarsdale, N.Y.) also went 5-0 for Colby.

The Mules (7-5) started the weekend off Friday with a 7-2 victory over Mount Holyoke.
